Your witnesses to the world

Raising children is by far the toughest job.
It also has the most rewards. And the most expects!

God has his expectations for us too!

Proverbs 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

God says we are supposed to train a child. Think about your past jobs.. They offer training.. What happens with employees that don't pick up the skill? They eventually are terminated! Why?

Because they are unprofitable to do the job. Usually they waste time, company finances and are usually a trouble making influence on their coworkers!

Proverbs 29:15 - The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left [to himself] bringeth his mother to shame.

Ever notice that the mother takes it personally when her children are not behaving... Maybe instinctively she knows they are a reflection of her! Her training and guidance is on display!

Proverbs 23:13 - Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

Colossians 3:21 - Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

Proverbs 13:24 - He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

Proverbs 22:15 - Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Deuteronomy 6:7 - And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Proverbs 29:17 - Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.

Psalms 127:3-5 - Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

2 Timothy 3:16 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Proverbs 19:18 - Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.

Psalms 127:3 - Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

2 Timothy 3:17 - That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Proverbs 15:5 - A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.

1 Peter 2:20 - For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

Jonah 4:11 - And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?

Leviticus 19:29 - Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.

Ephesians 6:4 - And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

John 3:16-17 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
