Practical Applications to the Bible Day 5

king james scriptures | DAILY BIBLE VERSE - APRIL 9, 2013:

This is our verses for today..

How do we have practical application made for these verses??

Well I think the first step is to accept that there are things going on around us that really are bigger in the grand scheme of things than we really give them credit for..

Our bible tells us that  there have been several times when The Devil and his henchmen have been out there fighting against God and his angels and the humans were unaware of what was going on around them

3 Examples I will give you

Daniel- He was praying and Gabriel tells him that FROM THE DAY he started praying that God gave the command to come and minister unto Daniel who by the way.. Had been beseeching God for answers and finally had learned the truth from the scriptures about his peoples..

And in the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel;
Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.
Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
10 And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.
11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.
12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.
15 And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.

**There was a great battle in heavenly places**

Moses- The scripture tells us that Satan fought for the body of Moses. What would he have done with that body? Well mind you this is pure speculation because scripture doesn't tell us Satan's motivation.. But just lets think about how revered Moses was..

We get some inkling of that in Deuteronomy 34:8 which tells us the Israelites wept and mourned for him for a month after his death. It's quite possible they would have wanted to carry the body of Moses with them into the land of Canaan (as they did that of Joseph), bury him, and erect an elaborate shrine over his remains.
It is easy to see how this could have deteriorated into a center for idolatrous worship. After all, Second Kings 18:4 reveals that the Israelites had carted around the bronze serpent Moses had erected in the wilderness at God's command (Num. 21:5-9). Then they set it up on the Promised Land and began to worship it! (They'd even given it a name!)
Galatians 1:8-9

8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

And bearing in mind that PAUL an apostle of Jesus Christ himself was worried that someone else might come and preach another Gospel.. Think about it... How much damage could Satan have created with the body of Moses?

Paul was so afraid that somehow someone maybe even gathering his own body.. That is Paul's body walking back into camp speaking other doctrines and gospels.. (Considering he wrote easily 3/5ths of the New Testament) What kind of chaos would that have created among the christian community?

Paul tells us That anyone preaching any other doctrines are ACCURSED!

Paul placed that curse there.. But it wouldn't have been there to stop satan before when he was fighting for Moses's body.. Think what kind of disaster would that have created for the Isrealites.. These same men and women ran after many forms of idolitry..Why would it have been so out of character for them to set up a shrine for worshiping Moses? Or Could Satan have re-written the ten commandments? Or the Levitical Laws? Or heavens only can guess the ramifications.. But we know that this was a very real prospect..

I want you all to think about this..

There are very real battles going on that you and I may never know about while on this world.. But GOD commands us to be prepared for battles with Principalities and Powers.. He tells us to be ready to stand when we are called upon..

Here is the application for our verses..

~BE PRAYED UP!
~BE READ UP!
~HAVE YOUR ARMOR ON!

Don't be a lackadaisical christian!!

Be ready to stand, fight and serve your king!
